Haito Fan began her career as a journalist at age 16, working as a student reporter for high school publications in Beijing. She went to Southwest Law and Political Science University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a law degree. She is currently a business news reporter with the Beijing Youth Daily, a renowned newspaper in China.

Crystal Taiwas born in Taiwan and immigrated to California with her family as a teenager. She holds a Master's degree in Education Policy, Organization and Leadership Studies with coursework in Journalism from Stanford University. She has been a reporter for the Silicon Valley Community Newspapers, which is affliated with the San Jose Mercury News. Currently, she is a regular contributor to Patch.com, an AOL-owned, on-line news service. She has published three e-books in English,Secrets of Asian Women, Real Savings for Your Dream Weddingand A Poetic Portal to Chinese Culture, with book covers all designed by herself.
